2005
- January Despite further delays to Rufford's launch we managed to make use of another boat and spent a long weekend, including New Year, on the Grand Union Canal.

- January Narrow boat Rufford was finally lowered into the water and named on 14 January. See www.rufford.org.uk for more information plus photos.
- January David went to Disneyland Paris as a helper with a Scouts' Cub pack.
- January Wyn and Richard went for a day trip to Brussels by Eurostar.
- February David played alto sax with the Ewell Jazz Ensemble at Ewell Castle School.

- March Our first trip on Rufford. Cruised form its base at Stockton to Banbury and back.

- April David playing alto sax with the Ewell Jazz Ensemble at Epsom Playhouse.

- April-May Richard spent a weekend in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein including Munich, Lindau, Brienz , Vaduz and the amazing Sauschwaenzlebahn.

- May Wyn spent a weekend in Kinnaird

- June Andrew successfully completed the second year of his Psychology degree and will start his final year in September.
- July The first 'Party in the (Worcester) Park' was held in the back garden. An afternoon and evening of music, ale and wine. Some excellent jazz was provided by the Sam Eagles Band, with guests Suzi and David, and the fine ale came from Cheriton Brewery. Due to the popularity of this event a rerun is already being considered for 2006.

- July David attended the Greenacre Music Summer School. He joined the Jazz stream with tuition from Ben Tompsett, Simon Jones and Martin Briggs. - July Our second trip aboard Rufford. A soggy week but we had a relaxing cruise from Stockton to Rugby and back finding some new pubs on the way. On the first day Wyn and Richard successfully completed a one day course for their RYA Inland Waters Helmsman's Certificate.
- August Yet another trip on Rufford with weather consistent with the July trip - why do people keep saying it was a dry summer?
- September David played alto sax for the first time at the Ram Jam Club at The Grey Horse, Kingston and with the Ewell Castle Big band and Ewell Jazz Ensemble for the MG Owners Club meeting at Epsom Racecourse

- October Wyn, Richard and David spent another week in Paziols, south-west France - home of Fitou wine.

- October Ewell Jazz Ensemble, including David, recorded their first demo CD.

- November David appeared in the Ewell Castle School production of 'A Christmas Carol'.
- November Wyn, Richard and David spent the weekend visiting friends in Geneva, Switzerland.
